Not alone does Daire O'Brien not know where the Sportsground is, but he knows fuc@ all about the game either. Forever talking through his hole. Yet another of the Cork mafia who seem to have RTE's rugby coverage tied up!

I was there with my kids and none of us noticed anything either. Wouldn't take much notice of Daire o brien anyway.

Does he even know where the sportsgrounds is ??

Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.

Cheers. Daire O'Brien had alluded to it on against the head.

Something else that came up on against the head this week was apparently Paddy Wallace was being lined up for a move to Connacht at one point, but he decided to move to Castres instead. That deal was pretty much done, and then he got a shot at 12 in Ulster due to injury and never left. They didn't get into why he turned his nose up at Connacht. In fairness, that was going back a few years so you could hardly blame him. We are in a better position now, so hopefully we can attract a 10 of at least Paddy Wallaces' ability in the summer!

I've heard a couple of comments alluding to a bit of niggle during the open training session at the sportsground, presumably during the bit where they played a bit of a game against each other? Anyone who was there pick up on anything?

Blow for Ireland with Heaslip out of the England game and probably the Wales game after Pape's knee to the lower back on Saturday. Sean O'Brien came in and did everything that could be asked and amazingly lasted the full 80 but how will this affect the back row dynamic. Heaslip has been a mainstay for Ireland for a number of years now. Big ask of whoever they choose to fill the gap.

I had that feeling all week. Maybe he'll be released tomorrow or Sat morning. At this stage I'm sure Schmidt would put an 80% Reddan on the bench before Marmion should either Murray or Boss pull up lame. So I'm not sure what they're waiting for with Connacht down to Porter who is just back from 10 weeks out and Blade who has done well enough but is still young. Hopefully this will be to Kieran's long term benefit as Sea_Point said if he is unable to be involved in the Scarlets game.

It's standard practice to have a replacement on standby whether travelling or at home. Tough for Kieran the free kit aside, because players want to play, not watch. But it's part of the process of embedding himself into the Ireland structure so he can take his opportunity when it arrives...

Again, it's another game gone in terms of RWC prep...

Sounds like Marmion will be released.

This was at the bottom of the Irish Times article about the team

Luke Fitzgerald and O’Donnell will remain in the Ireland camp as additional cover.
