Robbo,

Get to see the new jersey??

Looks like Robbie and Payne are the top two contenders to replace Drico.

From the Indo:

THE race to succeed Brian O’Driscoll as Ireland’s No 13 has begun at Carton House, where Jared Payne has linked up with the squad for the first time.

The New Zealand-born Ulster player qualifies to play for Ireland through residency next month and will be eligible to make his début in November.

Joe Schmidt has assembled 46 players for a three-day camp where he will review last season and plan for the upcoming campaign.

While the IRFU don’t confirm squad details for such gatherings, the Irish Independent understands that Payne has joined up with the panel, along with Robbie Henshaw, who is expected to be his main rival for the No 13 shirt.

Really happy with this appointment. Think Easterby will be a great addition to the coaching set-up.

Hes there already. They hired a kiwi with head coach experience last season to assist. Cant think of his name but welsh media say he will take over.

Wayne pivac and he has been fijis head coach

easterby released to take up the international job. Hopefully good for Ireland although rough on Scarlets, bad time to have to go looking for a new head coach.

Simon Easterby and Dan McFarland both linked to the Ireland forwards job now that Plumtree is gone with Easterby the favourite to take it.

Shame he's having a blinder of a tournament. Wouldn't be surprised to see him getting picked for a Wolfhounds squad based on this form.

Nice try by Mick Kearney against Uruguay. Good supporting line run by him. Can be watched here.

From the match reports I've read MK didn't get a try in first match. Nice tries from Copeland and Gilroy admittedly against poor opposition.

Not knocking his efforts, but 2 facile wins over inept opposition is nothing to write home about.

doubt if anything at all was learned on this tour.

Courage is knowing what lies on the other side and still opening the door.
