No. Ross and White both got 2 year extensions at that age. It's all about the Benjamins, there is no way we can compete with Top 14 money (especially as Grenoble are not renewing James Percival's contract and therefore have money to spend).
And what is the commonality in their positions?
Tight Heads and International Tight Heads are like hen's teeth.
Second Row's are not viewed in the same way at all, unless they're Paulie...
It's about the contract length, Aly's got a very young family so he wants to be settled for a couple of years rather than hopping around the gaff. After that it's money, and it'd need to be plenty to cover relocation and cost of living in a city like Grenoble...

Conor Carey, ex-Ulster academy TH signs from Nottingham.
No detail on length of contract so probably one year for both.

"Connacht are likely" ... "it is understood", etc.
On the FCG supporters forum, they're suggesting a matter of days, so we may know for definite sooner rather than later. forum.fcgrenoble.com/viewtopic.php?pid=277059
Not much of a clamour on Twitter from the Clan Members to indicate that he is wanted here, and there really should be a lot of messages of support copying in Connacht Rugby/IRFU if the issue (and I'd say it is) is contract length for a near 33 year old.
If he's going to FCG it's because they are offering a longer contract, not loads more dosh..

Ye keep on using that word. I do not think it means what ye think it means.
Can you expand. Thanks
All about punctuation....

or
Re-sign - as in to sign up again when a contract ends.... Will endeavor to do better

We have high expectations in this here neck of the woods, sure we had ro feck yer wan Edel out of it the other week for calling the team Conn-nought..... bloody celebrity bandwagoners.....

dobby wrote: If I see this correctly the following is my reading of players these rules apply to
- we would no longer be able to use George as a replacement as he is a project NIQ player I think the "injury replacement" term in the rules means medical joker (again, this isn't being kept to - Munster - Ambrosino)
- Jake becomes IQ this year and both Tom and Bundee are on 3 year contracts so they become IQ after the 3 years and are available to be resigned as such Correct
- AJ is a puzzle. Can he become IQ. He has played for the USA 8 times. As such does he become a project NIQ player. If this is the case he can't be used as a replacement player for Connacht AJ is NIE and can't become eligible
- Nepia is on a two year contract so he won't reach IQ. So there may be an issue resigning him. Everybody else is already IQ on the team. I didn't know he was on just a two year contract, but if we were subject to the rules an exception would almost certainly be made to make him Irish qualified.
Open to correction
As Facecutter said though, we're exempt from it at the moment.
