I wouldn't post untruths just for the sake of it
The Munster deal was all but done, they were sure he was coming
Lam swayed him to stay

Does it say 2 years or are you basing that on the "another couple of seasons" quote?
Another couple of seasons, so in reality it could be anything up to seven or eight....
As in teatime call to your partner, "Hi love, just going to the pub for a couple of pints with the lads, won't be a late one" and crawling in at 2am...

Last year it was the 27th of April for renewals but as we're doing well you might expect them to do it earlier to take advantage of the good will/publicity.

clanman wrote: that's great news about Heenan, I've noticed since he's returned that I he's slightly modified his game in order to protect himself. not a bad thing. Himself and Nepia can do a great job for us, in fact I would'nt be surprised to see Muldoon playing a few games less next year with Heenan switching to No.6, I would still like us to sign a big bulldozing no.8. I suppose maybe someone who can play 2nd row as well.
I really can't agree more with all you said
Heenan/Connolly to share 6 and 7 with Muldoon and Nepia
I'm still a big fan of Fonua as the next Naoupu to cover 5/8

To be clear this is from the same source Porterbelly that said he was leaving, in fairness to him hes usually on the ball.could have been part of the contract talks.
anyway its good to see that he may be staying.
Yeah, I knew who he was, just didnt want to be calling out any names.
He might be fairly accurate with his news, but there have been lots of conflicting reports recently, and all it does is cause people to panic IMO.
Since early February, I've heard
1. Jake's Dad has moved to Galway and is living happily in Galway
2. Jake was fighting for a new contract with Connacht
3. Jake desperately wants a new contract with Connacht
4. Connacht are happy to give him his new contract, they just want to make sure he's over his injuries
5. Jake is moving to Munster
6. Jake is moving home to New Zealand
7. Jake was asked by fans after the Ospreys match if he was moving to Munster, and his response was "Definitely not"
8. Lads over in Edinburgh were talking in the pub, laughing at which rumors they can start, and will grow legs, and that Jake to Munster was one of theirs
9. Jake has done a U-turn and is staying with Connacht
