Porterbelly wrote: Are the Junior All Blacks not the same thing as the NZ u20's/Baby Blacks
I'm confused
Junior = NZ "A"
Baby = U20
They're so special they don't use the common terms us lesser nations do

Gannon, Moore, Anderson, Brian Murphy, Reynecke, Fifita, Frank Murphy, Loxton, Nolan,
I thought Brian Murphy was being kept on? Did I read that here or somewhere else?

Don't we get 5 NIQ spots plus 2 projects? It seems as if White may be reclassified as a project player, but even if he isn't don't we still have room for one more of each (assuming Rodney no longer counts as a project since he qualifies at the end of the year IIRC)

Doubtful, if Clarke is anything to go by then playing for the 'Baby Blacks' precludes him from becoming IQ
Playing for the baby blacks (U20s) does not preclude him for playing for another nation. Playing for the Junior All-Blacks (NZ "A"), like Craig Clarke, would.
In any case we have only two project spots and 4 other NIE /NIQ for a total of 6 NIQ/NIE spots (one more than the other provinces).
5 are already taken:
White (NIQ/Project?)
Clarke (NIE)
George (NIE)
Parks (NIE)
Poolman (Project)
So regardless of who we sign up - Sinoti or this young Kiwi - that's it for overseas players. If you look at the 5 definites: an experienced TH, a Super 15 winning captain, a quality no.8, our general, and our top try scorer, you'd wonder if either of those options is in that class?
