The rate of attrition in the modern game is frightening. The other provinces seem to have their challenges too, but my god, I am not sure they have as many out as us.

Still, it can't be an excuse as everyone know it's the way the game has gone.

Depth in any squad is probably the biggest thing these days.

No Kelleher covers both midfield and any back-3 position. TBH I had Poolman to start, Cian on the bench and dropped Healy who is a liability in defence. Probably won't happen

Oh, and as for Loughs, he played more than 60 in the final and was outstanding against a far superior scrum than Hairsprays. He's the least of our worries I'd say.

I didn't want to sound even more bitter during/after the game but fagerson clearly headbutted/charged head first into Buckley's head which is almost 100% the cause of his concussion, and even if its not directly responsible it is a citation offense regardless. There was no mention of it during the game although it was relatively clear to see in the replays. Really pissed me off as once again the duty of care to the players is being abdicated.

What a downer of a week.

Anyone bemused/terrified by the fact that Pat named Masterson as a backrow player that could be considered a second row back up in his injury update on the latest craggy Island podcast? Sob is understandable and Browne is a utility forward but after that I would be extremely wary of a scenario like that. I've seen and heard people describe Masterson as a very physical man but having only seen him on tv he seems more Eoin McKeon than Quinn Roux.
