The main point of my post, which I probably didn't express properly was that we now had 4 hookers, 3 TH's and still only 1 guy at LH that would inspire any confidence going into next season. Given that finance is always such a major problem for Connacht, I'd have thought signing 2 quality LH's (aside from further cover from the academy) should have been the priority. Still hopeful the the Coulson moves works out but like everyone else I'm getting increasingly frustrated at the Glacial pace of progress in new signings.
I've heard from people who I would definitely expect to know that some signings are done and dusted but haven't been announced, and at least one more is in the works but expected to go through.
Good man Bazzo. Telling me what I want to hear. Why can't you all be more like Bazzo?
Read on another forum we are meant to be signing Peter McCabe from Munster on a full contract ?? Anyone hear anything similar?
Didn't ask for any specifics on names or positions so ye know as much as myself!

Franks was a done deal until his red card last night. Ox was nearly there but Willie found a typo on his CV and figured we needed someone more meticulous.

We had 4 senior hookers last season. We will have less hookers than we have this season. Bear in mind that our depth has never been severely tested in this area, 2 injuries this season and we would have been in trouble. I wonder does O'Toole and Dineen moving on from the academy lend credence to the rumours we're bringing in Tadgh McElroy..
Not to say you're wrong, but if we're considering moving Tom, it would have to be supplementary to a new signing, not a replacement.

Marmion is not injury prone, he won't miss more than the international windows
Blade and Mitchell are now senior guys
And Kerrins as talented back-up, with McKeon covering 10 and 9
We won't afford a 6th SH, that's a nonsense

and
Kerins
Lowndes as accademy as far as I am aware with also th rumour of signing James Mitchell from Sale which leave us with 4 senior SH's.
Lowndes was released
So we probably need another SH - Marmion on international duty and an injury to Blade we are light experience.

Is McKeon coming in as Out Half or SH. I understand he covered both for a while.
