If we have any hope of keeping Bundee after his contract is up Connacht are going to have to show vast improvement this season and IMO that will require an upgrade at 10. Jack is 25 when next season starts, still young but not very young and the progress he has made so far wouldn't indicate that he's going to make that leap up to the next level. Maybe Keane can get more out of him, but I wouldn't bet the team's season on it.
He's just starting his new 3 year deal so worrying about keeping Bundee is not an issue at the minute
You're probably right and I did figure he'll be 30 when the contract is up, but my concern is another down year and he might be looking for an early exit. He already felt blindsided by Pat's leaving and if he is in Ireland team plans the IRFU would be inclined to keep him happy so they might facilitate a move.

But the article doesn't say he is leaving, just that there is some basis for thinking that he might. But the fact that no-one else reported it and there's been nothing said since suggests that it's also possible he's staying ...

It hasn't even been re-reported by many other sources as is often the case in these situations.

So all your own conclusions yet you know nothing about the Connacht budget , i think I'll pass on your views this time!

dobby wrote: everyone retained has been handed a huge lift in wages. it has been pointed out. even if boshoff left there is nothing left. huge difference between coaching staff and players. coaching staff paid for by irfu, players paid for by connacht rugby under the budget they must live by. so we have no money to sign players next year. simple as that. I expect no KK signings. We just let go the cheapest of our signings (bar Boshoff) to make ends meet rather than to improve our team. that is my take on things
And where did you get such detailed reliable information about the Clubs finances Dobby
