Tonetti and Gannon are only contracted til season's end. If Jarvis is on a one year deal I'd imagine same applies for Loxton. With the 5 you name that makes 8 who may be leaving.
Of the dev/academy squad members I haven't seen any news on the following being added contracts:
Denis Buckley, Shane Conneely, David Heffernan, Shane Layden, Dermot Murphy, Jamie Stephens. Some of them will just be moving up a year in the academy but not all.
TJ Anderson seems to have fallen off the face of the planet, even if he is contracted for another year, and Andrew Browne and Dave Nolan seem to have been injured forever (which is unfortunate as in my not-very-knowledgeable opinion they've looked very good any time I've seen them).
I'm sure I've missed a few, but you get the point, 15-20 players with their futures up in the air so likely 10 or so of them leaving.

Niall Ronan, Billy Holland, Tommy O'Donnell and Denis Hurley have signed 2 year contracts and Marcus Horan 1 year.

Rumours abound of major clear out at end of season
I would be very surprised if there was a major clear out. McFarland was bemoaning the fact that we seem to have to start all over again every few years, I doubt the management team would want to have to deal with that after putting so much into this years crop.
There will be a few who are out of contract and will be allowed to leave, maybe others who decide not to sign a new contract. But for the most part I'd say anyone who's borderline will be kept if at all possible, unless there's a possibility of upgrading.

As for the CEO I agree with getting someone fresh and who wants to make a mark. Would love to know who some of the applicants are. Come on rumor mill!!!!

60 applicants for the CEO? Wow. Big wow. If many are outsiders who want to bring a new way of thinking to Connacht that would be great. I wouldn't be in favour of a Connacht native taking charge this time round.
Why? surely the best applicant should get it, regardless of where he's from
I'd agree with Ummmm on this, think a new face from outside the IRFU organisation or influence would be best for us. Some fresh innovative thinking is required to keep pushing us forward.
Not entirely transparent who is managing the recruitment process. Applications were being sent to IRFU HR intially, but that may be an administration issue only. Would imagine that HR at Connacht consists of probably one person.
Would hope that the PGB have some say in the recruitment process as they need to be able to build a close relationship quickly with the prospective CEO...

Of course we want the best candidate, but maybe it would be better to get an outsider, with a fresh outlook and a clean slate.

Gerry once commented Connacht weren't asking for equality and were fine with it. I wasn't fine with it. I don't want outsiders for outsiders sake, I just think an outsider is more likely to have a fresher outlook.
Having said that, if there is a Connacht man with the same in your face and uncompromising attitude as Eric when it comes to asking the best out of province then I won't be unhappy with that.
Although I wonder if that will even be possible. Won't the IRFU be involved in the selection?

CONNACHT are hoping to sign Ireland 'A' flanker Willie Faloon when his Ulster contract runs out at the end of the season, writes Hugh Farrelly.
Faloon, a natural openside, has struggled for game time with Ulster under Brian McLaughlin, who has played Chris Henry out of position at 7 to accommodate Pedrie Wannenburg.
While Connacht would not confirm their interest, it is understood that the province have been in discussions with the 25-year-old, who has also been attracting interest from France.
Meanwhile, it is believed Connacht had more than 60 applicants for the CEO position, with Gerry Kelly set to retire this summer. ERC commercial manager Diarmaid Murphy has been linked with the position.
EDIT: Not fallon, Farrelly. does he read this site??
