What a backline in prospect if all can stay fit. Mils, Aki, Henshaw, Marmion (maybe 1-2 surprises in store :woohoo: ).
A new stadium will definetly be needed soon to try and squeeze in the huge amount of people who are sure to come to see those guys together in the backline. :silly:
If we can secure a very talented project player at 10 (as I really dont think any of our 10's are quite up to the level needed) and a big talented 8 ( perhaps a monster south African project player) it would be icing on the cake.
Quinn roux is young and has potential with only has the one season to run to become Irish Qualified if he steps up to mark might be a good option. Still fingers crossed for Craig Clarke it would be a huge boost if he came back to full fitness for us.
Would take Roux as he only has a year left on his project, but ideally we shouldn't be signing anymore foreign players.
Dave O Callaghan/Jack Conan in the back row
Lets give Carty/Ronaldson a shot next year.
I just dont think (only my opinon) any of our current 10's have the all round top quality game needed, ronaldson/nikora are decent runners and average distributers but neither are very reliable kickers or game management tactical kickers and dont think carty can fill the 10 boots either at present.
Ya Nagle or Quinn Roux would be decent option imo, personally I think its a weakness area for us without clarke.
Agree it would be nice to see some top quality Irish players from the other provinces signing but thats a bit of a cross province problem that the IRFU need to address when you see some players with great potential staying stuck behind established internationals for far too long not getting the game time needed to further their careers.
On the plus side I think that huge signings like Mils and Aki will prove to any of those weighing up choices that Connacht now have very serious ambitions to get to the top table and that their international career can benefit if they join that journey.
Dave O'Callaghan yup think he is a decent player and obviously young Jack O'Donughue looks top notch,
at Ulster stuart Mccloskey, Rory Scholes. big shame Leinsters Jack O'connell went abroad.
Really hope to see more and more home grown players like our own SOB etc come through

@RuaidhriOC Connacht also due to sign a South African No 9 meaning they can field a team with 13 non-Irish born players next season
having a look at his twitter, he is a 'professional' troll. asked another troll who claied to know how much muliaina was on, said 500k then he claied it was 350k.
any report who doesnt have 3 times or 4 times more followers then following, then says it all. he has 75% where as murray kinsella has 600%.
also giving out about the 13 non irish players, he then stats that its pointless for players to move province. i thought that the rag that is the daily mail was connachts sponsored newspaper?

Funny that. Leinster can field a team with 14 non-Irish born this season and nobody seemed to care
Auva'a, Bent, Boss, Cooney, Denton, Dundon, Goodman, Gopperth, Heaslip, Kirshner, McCarthy, Murphy, Roux, Strauss

Just seen there that andrew goodman and leo avua are being released by leinster.
Yes to Goodman No to Auvaa. His form has being terrible the last year or so and according to Leinster guys his attitude hasn't being great either. Some player when they get a knock back train harder and strive to improve, others just shrug their shoulders. Unfortunately Auvaa seems to be the second type.

Borders no.2 wrote: If only for the buzz it will generate Muliaina is a great signing. Even 4 or 5 years ago a signing like this would have been a pipe dream. The budget has increased but no matter how it has increased fair play to Pat Lam and / or whoever else had a hand in this signing as I'm sure he could have earned more elsewhere. A 1 year deal is good business.
In relation to other signings, I really think 10 has to be a higher priority than a 9. Perhaps its a kicking 9 which would free up the space for a Carty or Ronaldson at 10 but for all the improvements to the squad, 10 is an area which needs to be looked at.
In my view if we don't get some backrow forwards who can carry ball we needn't bother turning up next season. Its pointless have the 11-15 we currently have when we can't get them the ball

Porter is the only non-academy cover that we have for Marmion atm, we definitely need an experienced head at halfback. I wonder who it could be? Really wish we had gotten Stringer for a year.
Had it in my head that POD was still being kept on.
