Our work at the breakdown has improved but against a physically stronger side we need to get in extra quick to stop the ball being left open. I have issues with Patterson but 2 more points is a decent result and we would be happy with that on any day other than today. Really in terms of looking to finish top 6 was lost early in the season with some of the poor defeats we had. Was impressed with a lot of our play, however, defensively we still have a lot to work on. The good sides will test your defence in a way the likes of Dragons and Zebre didn't.
Positives to build on and still plenty to work on.
I think it's a day we missed having an out and out seven. Masterson has done extremely well but I just remember thinking how I'd love to see the likes of Heenan or Faloon out their. Our ball presentation wasn't as good as it could have being either. Fair play to the boys for not putting the head down and getting the last try. Nearly screamed myself hoarse for McKeown to touch it down.

They look a really strong outfit now and , at last, have some strength in depth.
Can't for the Munster match on the 19th - we're in with a serious shout there....
I think an overall 'Clan' well done should be the message of the day ...Hon Connacht!!!

Seem to be very guilty of nodding off at times and lacking a bit of go forward grunt for the business end of this table.
But really i think Scarlets scored at times way too easily.
But the building blocks are there.

Has always been very quick to blow up any and all ruck situations. Its difficult but Connacht should be aware of this tendency by now.
Missed the first 30 minutes by ballsing up the clock situation in the gym, Connacht looking decent if a little flat in the last 10. Scrum could be a worry, can anyone tell me is it an individual issue or a systematic problem? Or just unlucky? I felt the last penalty against our scrum was a bit harsh.
