You could update with Butler.
It's a 42-man squad for now
We won't have over 44 senior players
Maybe 1 or 2 last signings. One of them might be Conroy
Brennan should be definitely mainly a centre then.
And the last NIQ signing would be a lock (my prefered choice) or a LH (Buckley isn't injury prone and not capped with Ireland, but it's true we're light there too with Cooney/McCabe/O'Donnell.
It's a bet : more confidence in that back-up trio or in the ThornburyClaffey/Gallagher back-up trio
You're not comparing like with like there. The lock backups are Roux, Cannon, and Thornbury. An injury at lock and we have Quinn Roux, an Ireland international, to step in. An injury to Buckley and we are in huge trouble imo.

Do you think that's a sign McCartney have received indications of a call-up from Joe in November?
I never looked at it like that but you may have a point and imho hes the best hooker and most complete hooker in Ireland so it is a no brainer for Schmidt.

Hard to put a foot forward for a bloke who has not said any inspiring word to back our team other than cast doubt with his social media. On the field he is yet to prove anythingpinky wrote: Can't really see what ye think the lad's done wrong. He sent a few tweets with vaguely motivational quotes and a few pictures of himself playing rugby. More or less consistent with what he's been doing since we've known him and certainly nothing that stands out above the background level of inane drivel that characterises the medium.

I know little of Marnitz. And most seem to know little of him. Its interesting who has integrated and who has not. I think Marnitz is one that has notsligsup wrote:

I know he doesn't really have any obligations to us fans but it can't just be me who finds his social media presence incredibly frustrating.
To be honest, if he’s gone I’m quite ok with that. I understand that Connacht rugby is not everyone's cup of tea. But personally i'm getting a little fed up of the is he staying or going stuff. It would be better if he would come out and be clear as to his intensions. Its not really fair on the fans!
Inclined to agree
Totally agree I have no problem with Marnitz returning to SA. In life sometimes we have to put our own happiness first. However I wish that the branch would confirm or deny the rumour and he would refrain from social media until there is closure.
