No way I could have afforded the trip so close to Christmas.
Glad I got over to the Quins game.
Will have to make more of an effort to go abroad with the team next year

When trying to figure out who is going to win a match, I sometimes go through each team, and see how many from each team would be picked in a "best of" selection..........I think we're in trouble!

We're going direct in and out of Toulouse, but Carcasssone is a nice little diversion. Flew in there for the Narbonne game a good few years back, but didn't have enough time to explore the Old Town unfortunately (just enough time for lunch by the Canal du Midi before catching the train)...
Loads of Touristy stuff to download for your day in Carcassone HERE ...

I'm in Porte 8 with my Toulouse buddy, and my mate and his dad are in the Connacht allocation. In fairness to the branch their allocation is nearly entirely gone so I suppose they did okay? Also we were bugging Martin about this for a while and in all honesty they just didn't know where or how many tickets they would receive from Toulouse. I suppose when you are club like Toulouse it is all too easy to ignore the likes of Connacht.
We should be in town about 4/5pm on the Friday. The Frog & Rosbif sounds as good as any preliminary plan, but I have no idea what the native may have planned.
Nope our standing doesn't make any difference, there are very clear guidelines laid down by the ERC within the HEC Particpation Agreement signed by all teams relating to ticket entitlement for visiting teams for both Pool Matches (15% of each category (defined by price) of tickets making up the total Capacity, on a sale or return basis, of the total tickets in each such category for a pool Match in the Heineken Cup) so about 3,000 tickets across all price groups and the Knockout Rounds ( which goes up to 25% for visiting teams)....
Well the Ulster game is a 9pm kickoff (French time), so we'll probably grab an early nosebag and then head in to the F&R for a few pints.

Looks like up to 700 of us for the trip. Remember the days when there was near that amount at a home game, and that included counting the hounds!
