Eric is showing steadfast faith in Niall O'Connor, who riled most fans in last weeks match against Gloucester by putting in a speculative up and under in the dying moments of the game. Is it stubborn pride on the behalf of the Connacht coach or does Eric see something in the Ulster out-half that us fans are yet to notice. The hope obviously is that it is the latter. Jarvis takes a spot on the bench with Nikora out of the coaches plans this week.

With Griffen recovered Tonetti drops to the bench and seems to be providing cover across the back-line with O'Donohoe the last back included there. Johnny O'Connor make a very welcome return to the back row and McKeon, whose superb first cap last week, earned him plaudits among the Clan provides cover from the bench. An impressive display from Loughs sees him retain his starting position this week for a total of 7 Connacht natives starting, and only 4 NIQ players in the match-day 23.

Connacht will need to front up up front in this match though, as two of their front rows are returning for this match having missed the Galway fixture. Tindell is going to be returning as well but so what? Griffen and McSharry were defensively able for Jauzion and Clerc, so the dwarf-tosser should not pose any more of a risk than they. Our worries defensively are seemingly along the wings and in the 9-10 channel. Hopefully the older heads of Mul of Concrete will be able to provide some extra nous there.

For those of you travelling to the match Teague's Bar seems to be the designated gathering point for the Clan. For those of you in Galway city for the match you are all encouraged to come along to Bukser Browne's for the match. The Connacht Clan will have a quiz and spot prizes, and you'll be able to watch the match on the biggest screen in Galway, in a great atmosphere.

Agree? Disagree? Ants in your pants? Have your say in the forum.

COME ON CONNACHT!
