Bus to Thomond - Munster v Connacht 27th December

Clan members,
We've been looking into organising a Clan bus down to Thomond park (and back) on Friday the 27th of December for the Munster game (KO at 7.15). At the minute we're just trying to gauge interest, rough numbers and viability, and also see if there are many who would be interested in getting picked up in Castlebar before going on to Galway and then Limerick (bearing in mind that it would need to leave Castlebar by 4.30/5.00 at the very latest).
Could anyone who is interested please reply to this thread with the location they would be getting on/off, Galway or Castlebar, and the number of seats they could expect to fill.

I'll more thank likely be in Dublin visiting in laws, but I think this is a great idea. I organised a bus down to Thomand a few years ago for a crowd from my office, and it worked out really well. I'd suggest getting a bus with a toilet if you want to avoid multiple pit stops on the way back!

You say that like it's a bad thing.
Won't be able to make it this year, as have plans to meet mates back in Dublin for christmas.

Good to get a few more showing interest today. I'll be going, and I might have a group of 4 or 5 in tow as well. So that's 13/14 so far, all from Galway.
I should probably add that we're hoping to do this free of charge, if the numbers are manageable.

I can help organise if you .wish, may I suggest that we pick an area in the ground and include it in the price so we will all be together, perhaps one of the terraces

I had assumed the more direct route via Ballinrobe Shelflife, but we'll need the numbers to justify either.

I would definitely be interested in travelling to Thomond on the 27th. Pick up in Galway would suit me. Is it Munster Rugby that I would need to contact about tickets. I'll hold off till I see if the trip is still going ahead.

Hi Thanks a million for planning to organise a bus. There are six of us interested (and I reckon a few more when they recover from Toulouse)- we are all travelling from Galway city. Do you think ye will be able to get a bunch of tickets for the same area - or should we just go ahead and book them ourselves. Don't want to leave it too late and end up all over the place. Thanks again

Hi all,
We've gone ahead and booked this, it'll be leaving Galway Coach Station at 4.30 on Friday 27th December, back sometime after 11.00. I've put everyone above on the list, still room for another dozen or so, let us know if you're interested or are dropping out. Just to reiterate, this bus will be FREE.
Regarding tickets, I think everyone will have to buy their own as we don't have the cash to block book, but we can nominate a section of Thomond and congregate there. Any suggestions?
