Just for anyone that may have Connacht Emails caught in a spam filter, below was sent to ST holders this morning. Seems to be making the best of a bad situation, tbh. Looking forward to the matches in August, but really missing the SG!!

IMPORTANT: 2019/20 Season Ticket Update

We’d like to begin by again offering our sincere thanks for your patience and understanding while we worked through the impact of COVID-19.

As a club, we cannot deny the significant economic effect of the last few months, but we are pleased that progress is being made with our #ReturnToRugby, starting with the proposed interpros at the Aviva at the end of August.

Firstly, we are happy to say that all Connacht Rugby players and staff are safe and healthy, but we are conscious that there are others not as fortunate. If you know someone who has contracted the disease, or has sadly passed away, the thoughts of everyone at Connacht Rugby are with you, your friends and family.

We previously indicated to you that we would provide you with an update on our 2019/20 Season Ticket Membership as soon as we were in a position to do so.

Connacht Rugby are happy to now confirm that the following options will be available to you:

Option 1:
Automatic enrolment into Connacht Rugby’s new membership program – The 1885 Membership Club. By taking this option you are helping to secure the continued financial health of Connacht Rugby, and we would greatly appreciate your support in this regard.
Option 2

Credit in the form of a voucher of 20% of the value of your Season Ticket. This can be redeemed against future Season Tickets and Membership Packages, subject to availability and conditions (see below for more info).
Here is all you need to know about the options available to you:

What is the 1885 Membership Club?

The 1885 Membership Club is a new and exciting membership platform for supporters of Connacht Rugby.

By choosing this option, you will also be supporting charitable causes who are most in need. That’s because for every 100 enrolments to the 1885 Membership Club, Connacht Rugby will donate a signed jersey to charities in need located in the West of Ireland.

Core members of the 1885 Membership Club will avail of the following:
Priority access to purchase tickets in your area at The Sportsground during the 20/21 season - should they become available - subject to public health restrictions. Please see our FAQs HERE for further details.

Your 2021/22 season ticket will be guaranteed at the previously announced 2020/21 prices.

Exclusive access to “The Connacht FanZone” – the next best thing to being at a game. This virtual area will give you intimate access to the Captain’s Run, pre-match warm-ups, pre and post-match commentary and interviews, live Q&As with players and coaches, live fan chat forum, access to a real team meeting with Andy Friend and the squad, competitions to nominate a mascot for when games resume, win the Man of the Match’s studs – and lots more!

A membership card for 2020/21

A protective Connacht Rugby facemask, unique to 1885 Club members.

Access to virtual members-only events, including a Season Launch Party, Friendy’s Friendly Quiz and more.

Discounts with a host of Connacht Rugby partners, including 10% off at Intersport Elverys.

Ability to purchase Official Merchandise available only to 1885 Club members.
20/21 Junior Season Ticket members will be automatically enrolled in a Junior Membership Club called “Eddie’s Eagles”, which boasts a range of features designed specifically for Under 16s including priority ticket access.

If you wish to choose this option and support Connacht Rugby, no further action is required by you.

For more information on the 1885 Membership Club check out our FAQs here.

How can I avail of the credit option?

If you choose not to take the membership package, you can opt to take a credit voucher of 20% of the value of your 19/20 Season Ticket, which can be redeemed against future Season Tickets and other Membership Packages subject to availability.

To do so, please fill out the below form before 5pm Monday 20th July.

***CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR A CREDIT VOUCHER***

IMPORTANT: If you do not fill out the above form before the deadline, you will be automatically enrolled in the 1885 Membership Club for 2020/21.

Are there other options available to me?

We understand that this may be a particularly difficult time for some people. If you require extra assistance, please get in touch at info@connachtrugby.ie.

I've already renewed my season ticket for 2020/21. What's the status of that ticket?

As you are aware, developments are constantly changing in the new world we now live. As we work through a ‘Return to Rugby’ strategy in line with the IRFU and other clubs, the health of our players, staff and supporters remain our number one priority.

As always, we will be guided by Public Health recommendations and hopefully will be able to gauge the status of the 20/21 season in the coming weeks. We will keep you updated as soon as we can confirm more information, so please bear with us as we work through this.

What if I have some questions on my options?

We have posted an extensive list of FAQs at www.connachtrugby.ie/ticketinfo/covid-19-ticketing-faqs/

If you have any queries on your options please check out that link, and if there are any additional questions you may have, email info@connachtrugby.ie or call 091 447751.

Thank you for your continued and as always loyal support.

From reading it, just want to check if anyone can confirm, if you want to pledge into the member's club you don't have to confirm or do anything, it happened automatically?

That's my understanding of it, yep! You only need to get back to them if you'd prefer a credit note.

FFS, what about those of us who just spent a week making our own Connacht Rugby facemask?
Feels like wasted effort now ...

My take on it is that looks like season tickets won't be used this year.
If games with fans in attendance are allowed the option will be priority tickets for season ticket holders.
And it looks like it will be games played with no supporters attending games at the start unless there is a big change with covid.

Not getting any of these emails. Hadn't renewed for 20/21 yet, and had seen deadline was pushed out. But seem to be off all mailing lists now.

Anybody else the same?

Gmail seems to be VERY confident that these things are spam - I have connacht rugby whitelisted two different ways and still had to fish the above email out of my spam folder.
