Cardiff have 7 in the Wales squad, most notably Tomas Williams, Garrett anscombe and most of their back row so we'll each be missing similar numbers.
Second row might be a struggle but have viable options in all of the other vacated slots.
Mildly optimistic about this game, the comeback win in France will have been a big boost to the whole squad so think we might sneak a win

Connacht are back in Pro14 action this weekend when they take on Pro14 conference rivals Cardiff! It's a massive swing game for both teams, with a win potentially pushing Connacht into the top three, but a loss may allow Cardiff to come level with Connacht! All still to play for!
Be sure to join the Clan in HQ, Murty Rabbitts, for what is sure to be a cracking return to Pro14 action.

No Welsh internationals for Osprey or Scarlet, so we shouldn't be facing any either

Team announced. Only surprise, Thornbury injured, Cillian Gallagher gets first start. Have we seen him from the bench yet?

Gallagher was on the bench in the first game of the season, ended up playing most the match as mckeon went off injured. Gallagher himself suffered form injuries for most the season since then

Awful first half, pitch is a disgrace.
Wind behind us in the second half, we'd better use it well!

Cardiff doing much better kicking against the wind than we did in the first half. Still making silly mistakes. Will be the side that messes up less that wins

Never deserved anything from that match. Ospreys will sleep soundly tonight knowing we won't be putting any pressure on them for the play off places in the conference. Bright performances from the younger players (Gallagher, Boyle, Conor Fitzgerald). Shame the more experienced players lost their heads and left that game behind. What was TOH thinking trying a drop kick from that position? All that was needed was to keep the pressure on Cardiff and a penalty would probably happen judging by how indisciplined they were in the first half. At least we were scoring at Ospreys then lost. Tonight we barely threatened.

Really feel we left that one behind us, we should have taken the points in the first half when they were down to 13

First off all, Fitzgerald’s kicking was extraordinary.
Basic errors at every facet of the game left us unable to build any attacking platform and constantly let them off the hook. Yet again we were unable to use an extra man/men. They really could have scored a lot more.

We have to be relieved : playing poorly and have a 4-1 split away vs a rival.
Good

Being relieved is not good enough . As a team we were beyond acceptable . That performance and Ospreys away will come back to haunt us at the end of season and could cost us a Champions Cup spot next year.
