yeah the PA situation was not ideal. We have already made provisions to get poles or built shelves for any future ones. Regarding stewarding, we did do that. I personally went around and, being as polite as I could, asked people to be quite.
The reaction was generally "who the hell are you to be telling me to be quiet?". Explained as best I could that we were trying to do and that was generally received with "well if you got the PA wrong so it's your own fault".
Ah well. We'll be better prepared for it next time. I think honestly if we had had the PA right we would have had an easier time of it. The people at the back would have been able to hear and wouldn't have started chatting.
Regardless of the PA I'd be taking a pretty hard line with any gobshite that came back with that response, first thing I'd be doing is asking for their season tickets, making a note of the number and reminding them pretty directly that a season ticket does not guarantee anyone access to this facility. And I would expect that you would get the full backing of Connacht Rugby in those circumstances, espcially running events for their benefit....

Decent enough PA should be able to deal with that no bother. Other thing is for comittee or volunteers to steward these events, epsecialy post game where drink may (will... ) have been taken and tongues loosened....

i was there.great effort done by the clan to set it up. shorter answers would of been better with maybe more humour i think personally.
same prob as we had at the guinness area22 in the charlton before the toulouse game. there was a core off us maybe 30 people glued to every word they had to saw and we were up at the front and then the people down the back were just there to see who could make the most noise. -_-ers.
i told one old guy about 70 years of age to be quiet as we wanted to listen and his reply was 'who are they? i dont no any off them.' i did not answer but replyed 'are you serious? so your just on the bandwagon. respect them and listen' then turned away. him kinda shocked.
i dont no if JOC found the game boring as it was on 9.30 but he never stopped yawning
Was there a PA sytem in place?
Doesn't cost much to rent a decent set of amp/speakers and couple of mikes for a night.
Even better and cheaper in long run for Clan to buy their own to use at events (pub quizes/ player forums etc)....

Is there a reason why details on injured players is so sporadic, other clubs give regular updates on their injured players, is this not something that could be done by Connacht also?
**** this wasnt asked
swift4prez
to jonhny o connor
should he be still called 'johnny concrete' since he is getting injured often now?
**** wasnt asked either

Dan - as forwards coach you've probably noticed a shift towards fairly mobile front rowers ala Cronin and Healy. How does the training for that type of player fit into the more traditional training demands of bulk and strength? Or is it a case of natural abilities?
**** he likes the croinin type but would prefer the big ones who are better scrummers than speed etc
cows
Keith - The best of luck in the future. It's a terrible shame that you've had to retire. What was your favourite moment in a Connacht jersey, and can you see yourself working with Connacht in the future as a coach? If so, what changes would you like to see implemented?
**** keith not there, maybe not up to it as it maght be to soon.
brian will take up coaching as he done a bit in england before.
browne said it to early and he never thought of it yet
JOC said no to coaching but he is interested in strength and condisining
Dan - Great job with the forwards in your time with Connacht. Do you see any future stars coming through the youth teams, and of the younger players in the current squad, who do you think has th ebrightest future?
****refused to answer as it wouldnt be fair on some and others
Johnny - Fans have raised concerns with regards to our play from rucks, especially when we are within 5m of the try line. Is this something that you train for on the training ground? If so, why do you feel that as a team over the last few years we have failed on the majority of occasions to convert these chances into tries? Is it time to try something else, and begin taking drop goal attempts, and keep the scoreboard ticking over?
**** dont think this was asked

Also, I cant make the match this Friday. Is there any chance that the answers from the forum can be recorded, and shared somewhere?

We will be screening obvious messers and anything (too) personal from the questions submitted, but fair and tough questions are encouraged, and you can include a supportive message as well if you like.
S_P can you tweet this into the twiti-sphere?
