Start lobbying for a Brexit deadline extension.
If it goes to extra time and place-kicks, we might start the game in the EU and end it outside it. I don't know how that effects player eligibility :-)

Going to get the 2030 Ryanair from Dublin on Thursday.
Think I will stay in Sale. Booked the Travelodge in Salford Quays.

Flights booked. Going over on Friday at lunch time, and back on Saturday afternoon via Dublin.
Stadium seems like a ball ache to get to, but will worry about that closer to the date

For those who were over in October, how difficult is it to get to the stadium?
Would you recommend staying in any specific area?
Want to be close to the city for going out after the game

The stadium is really awkward to get to. A friend and I also got caught up in an EDL march on the same day as the match. Ended up getting an Uber which cost about £17. I think there are free shuttle buses from the Trafford Centre but it means you also have to make your way out there too. I'd get together with a few people and take a people carrier out to the stadium.

Unfortunately, the Friday night kick-off rules me out for this one. I'll have to make up for it in Cardiff tomorrow.

Yeah public transport in Greater Manchester is a nightmare. I left the stadium two hours before I was due to catch a train from Picadilly and I had to run across the city centre to catch it (thanks EnricoPalazzo for pacemaking duties). Safest bet is to walk the 11 miles from the airport to the stadium and sleep in the hospitality marquee.

Booked a Premier Inn near Manchester Piccadilly, so at least that will aid getting too and from the airport.
And its close to some of the nightlife.

I'll worry about getting to the game another day

Booked into the Holiday Inn West Friday and Saturday. No idea how I'll get to the stadium but I'll work that one out.

Flying Friday midday, back Sunday night.

Anyone know what the craic is with tickets?

I found it wasn't actually too bad getting out to the stadium. You get a bus to the Trafford Centre early enough and you can have a pint or two in the Castle in the Sky while you wait for the free shuttle. That's a Wetherspoon's so they will probably be giving out free beer to celebrate Brexit (until they run out of hops).
It was getting back in where I ran into delays. And with the late finish it might be even more awkward this time.

Into Manchester Friday morning and back out Saturday night €45 return from Dublin. Cab between 6 on October was £5 each, we looked at getting to the Trafford centre but it was 45 minutes on public transport!

Had flights booked for Friday evening to Sunday, so timing rules this one out for me.

Oh well, the lads will just have to make it to the final, I suppose.

Defo see if you can get a gang of ye for an Uber. It takes ages to get out that side anyways.

However as mentioned there's free shuttles after the match that go directly to Trafford centre, which is then much handier to get back City Centre.

There's absolutely nothing pubwise out that side btw. There's a kinda carvery restaurant across that ride which is pretty shite. Stay drinking in the city centre. We stopped off at a spot called Eccles and it's a grim pro-Brexit town so just try avoid that.

Also the stadium is beside a legit waste treatment facility so it'll likely waft a bit.

Friday unfortunately rules this out for me.

As far as I remember Enrico got you in to that spot of trouble by suggest the bus in the first place. I'd like to call that run the races of Manchester, we should make it an annual event!
