Want to book for Bordeaux away game but confusion over the day - ERC website say Friday 18th but Connacht social media updates say Sat 19th?!! honestly do they ever make it easy?!Friday flight gets in early enough into Bordeaux 3.15pm if a Friday game would likely be in the evening I guess? But wanted to be somewhat sure of the day before booking anything!

You know what, you have a very good point. There are no flights Thursday or Sunday so the Friday flight is kinda the only game in town. Unless you want to do the dog on it and go out Wednesday and see the sights. Bit of flexibility with the return flight Sun/Mon. But may as well book that Friday one in any case and be done with it. All aboard!

Well a few of us went ahead and booked the flights...it looks like the game will be the Sat now according to ERC Twitter but the Website now has reverted back to either 18/19/20th Jan ?! To add insult to injury the Aer Lingus fri-mon flight has now doubled in price to €260 return! That was by the Saturday! Hope a few people got booked before that!

Staying in the IBIS Bordeaux Centre Meriadeck
Fingers crossed it's either Friday or Saturday K/O

Hi all,

Group of us who would normally go to a Leinster away game in January but don't fancy Coventry in January are thinking of this as an alternative.

I see there is a feeling it will be a Sat game - is that based on anything specific or just the fact they have already a lot of Fri games confirmed. Anyone know if there is any danger of it being shifted to Thurs or Sun given (a) it's France so anything goes and (b) it's the last round so TV could push for something odd - even though there isn't any other Thursday games

Thanks

Hi,

A few of us would normally go to a Leinster away game in January but have no interest in Coventry so were looking at joining you guys in Bordeaux. I saw the feeling is that it will be a Saturday game and just wanted to check if that was based on anything specific or just the fact that there are a lot of Friday games already locked in? Is there any chance it gets shifted to something odd like Thursday or Sunday (it is France and the TV crowd like to fill up their schedules).

Thanks

After me blitzing them with a few twitter queries regarding the situation, the powers that be came back with the following super informative response....

"We do hope that this message finds you well? We noticed your questions regarding the Round 6 fixture for Connacht Rugby. The precise details for the fixture currently planned to be finalised before the start of the European Rugby Challenge Cup season and will be communicated both on the website and on our social media channels. Very best wishes, EPCR Communications Team"

So the waiting game continues basically....

I would assume that it will be anounced before the end of this month. Me and 2 of my firends the entire weekend just in case anyways.

Normally game weeks 5&6 are announced around game week 4 as they wait for our friends in TV to announce the fixture times. They need their 'PRIME TIME' matches for January :P
