Totally depends on the individual and what they want to do. There are loads of things to see all over SA. I personally wouldn't bother taking two flights for the sake of three days somewhere but many people would.

Just a thought on the fixtures, last season the two teams that were in SA at this time (Scarlets and Edinburgh) had home games in Europe the next week. Most likely this is just coincidence, but maybe Pro14 arranged it with EPCR to make it a bit easier on the teams. If so that would put paid to the idea of stopping in England or France on the way home.
Going to wait until Euro fixtures are out before I figure out the route (if any). They've been very late the last couple of seasons.

I couldn't resist the Air France Oh La La sale. They were getting to me subliminally with early morning radio ads when I was half asleep, the devious feckeurs. Hard to argue with €470 open-jaw return. Offer closes shortly apparently.

Does your routes/time overlap with myself and Stephen?

I'm flying out to Cape Town well in advance (figure since I'm going that far I may as well have a good old gander at the place). Back on Thursday 6th at 1950 from JNB. Might meet some of the Perpignan crowd on the CDG-DUB leg. Everything else is still to be planned.

Sounds like a plan Pinky. I would be interested in doing this trip. Do you or anyone know if there are many more people interested in doing the Keller travel itinery. The cost still sounds very worth it (given that you have shuttle buses, internal flight, 5-star hotels & trips in between the matches for the week). Pasting in the itinery for anyone else that is interested in this deal. Would there be any chance of a charter flight if there was enough interest from fellow Clan members? www.kellertravel.ie/wp-content/uploads/2...7/SA-Itinerary-2.pdf

I'm not one of those travelling with Keller's, I know of at least 7 or 8 who are travelling with them. As for charter, none of the teams have organized that, I doubt there's any financial sense in even trying, esp if Munster supporters didn't try, and they brought a lot down for CJ's return to George.

South Africa is scrapping the rule about minors needing birth certs and signed declarations and all that jazz, so that might make life a small bit easier for anyone under 18 making the trip.
Some colourful political discourse going on on the matter down there :-)

Anyone know whereabouts the Kellers tour have their match tickets?
I will presumably just pick up tickets when I get there, I assume they won't be pricey anyway.

The branch / Keller's will have loads of tickets. They gave us the tickets in March and they gave out tickets to the lads in the cheetah experience.

One major issue with the free tickets... They'll most likely be in the alcohol free section!

So Bloem, the entire stand behind the dugouts is alcohol free, and the center section of the stand on the other side is as well.
so basically the best seats in the house.

Given the time of kickoff, 5PM, and daily average temp being 27 - 28 degs C, keeping hydrated with water rather than beer should be the priority.

plenty of time, and cheap beer after the game.

For PE, I doubt there's alcohol free sections in the university stadium. Finding shade might be a bigger problem, stand looks tiny, and game kickoff around the hottest time of the day.

BTW: the corporate lounge costs 80R (5e) per seat, and I think you can book a box for really cheap.

Kings game is in the big stadium. They only use NMU for Leinster and such small fry.
