Shane Monahan ‏@themainmanmono
my 1st time playing at kingsholm and in front of the shed, amazing! its a privilege2play with such talented players n av such great support!

scored a try in a 7's game today on his first game for glaws.

i honestly think he is a player that got away that has raw talent. good luck to him.

Shane Monahan is settling in well at Gloucester. I always felt he never got the chance he deserved.

Brian Tuohy ‏was asked on twitter did he get a new club yet, and he admitted that he didnt and is now retired. after that leg break vs leinster on new years day, i was surprised he didnt get a new contract here with us even if we have plenty of wingers. he's better than most as he was first choice when he was fit. i always liked him as a person and player.

Ya I was shocked to get the reply back from him saying he had retired. Very nice lad best of luck to him in the future I see he has updated his bio on twitter to "Former pro rugby player with a body made of glass... Now rugby coach and sports Masseuse"

Unfortunately thats increasingly the reality of the game. To be honest I'm not surprised as last year was his first year in a two year contract so Connacht released him early from his contract as they must have had the medical advice that he wouldn't be able to play professional rugby to the required level again.

Always liked him, he was hardly the best tackler ever seen but he'd always give an honest effort and pop up with his faif share of tries, hope he can make a living outside the game now. I'm sure he like others was planning for the future but its hard to deal with when the end game comes so quickly and you're faced with the reality of life outside being a pro player.

i think robbie moris is gone back to england enjoying his retirement, funny comments back and forth between him and currant squad members on twittter.

keith mathews has applied for colleges in nuig and in limerick. hopfully starting in september,

ray ofisa has disapeared.was talking to few lads of the team and they dont know where he is, which would mean he left the country. from time to time i google his name if anything come up, but nothing so far.
maybe gone to live in samoa.

Conor O'Loughlin and Keith Matthews

Two former Connacht rugby players have opened a new rugby talent agency, Core Sports Management, which focuses on elite athlete representation.

Conor O'Loughlin and Keith Matthews spotted a gap in the market for a bespoke service for professional rugby players as well as upcoming young talent.

The two men say their offering will incorporate much more than contract negotiations, and will provide a "comprehensive service" to players including sponsorships and financial planning.

The ex-players certainly have plenty of experience in the field, with 200 provincial caps between them.

O'Loughlin played professional with Connacht for eight years before injury forced him to retire in 2011. He also has a degree in business information systems from NUIG and a master's of finance from the Smurfit School of Business.

Matthews began his professional career with Munster Rugby before joining Connacht for seven years before retiring due to injury in 2012. He holds a degree in engineering from UL and is also a qualified financial adviser.

That's about right, bit of posturing and no dialogue for him. Sorta the way he played his rugby, looked the part but never really delivered any dialogue...

Presume at some point he had some talent as a young lad, but his career stats tell you a story...

Thing that pisses me off most is that he has one more Samoa cap than Ray Ofisa...?????????????

stewart maguire was listed as a newport g dragons player at the start of the summer, even his profile on the main page as a first squad.
now its gone. if it believed from someone on here that he was a bit lazy and didnt carry his weight at training in connacht, could be the same in wales.
i seen lastnight another former player asking him how london was. thats why i went and looked

thats very strange. porterbelly do you know why he left the drangons?
strange for them to have his profile up, and then him to leave after no more than 3months

i see over on the edinburgh forum that the knives are being sharpened for bradley and tonights result is the last straw for many of them.Ref seemingly was a disgrace but losing to Treviso at home aint good.
There will in all likelyhood be no HEC run to distract them this season either so he might be reapplying for his old job this summer!
