Just to get the ball rolling, wondering will there be any bus heading to this one?, and like was mentioned in another topic how will tickets work? From my experience a certain amount of tickets will be released to Connacht, then the rest released to Ulster and any remainders will go on general release. I assume Connacht Rugby will contact us most likely after Rd21 (as the QF's aren''t confirmed until then), which doesn't leave much time for planning.

Connacht should get the option of around 4.5k tickets for this game (25%) of capacity. Last year, both "QF" games were on the Saturday.

Clan intends running a bus- waiting on match info (and subject to interest of course)

Any Chance if there is a bus, that it could run through the North of the province. Only adds about 40 mins to the travel time and would make things easier for some fans, or if there was the interest even a separate bus running from Castlebar or somewhere like that, through Sligo and on to Belfast.

It's a fairly straight forward drive : Galway - Belfast 3 hrs, head to Dublin, hang a left and go straight for an hour.

We'll look into all eventualities! Only issue being that we're not sure if its going to be a Saturday or Friday match at this stage. (Likely it'll be Friday, but sods law says...)

Check with local Rugby clubs also, with season over there may be more interest from clubs organising coaches to travel up as a group....

Should be a cracking occasion, Rory Best's final home game too...
Maybe the Clan can organise something to present to him, arrange via the USC?

Very unofficial, but the signs seem to point at a kick off time around teatime on the Saturday for the Semi Final eliminator v Ulster. As I said very unofficial.

Unoficially, is that afternoon tea or high tea?
(It's always teatime out west).

KO around 6pm it seems. Only rumours - Fleetwood Mac.

Thanks for the tip-off. Won't make any plans based on it but good to know. I reckon if it was 5 or earlier an up-and-down trip would be doable, but 6 gets you into getting home at 2am kind of territory. Saturday night accommodation won't be cheap.
They were 1515 and 1835 KOs on Sat last season, which was also the bank holiday weekend, and the 1515 was in Thomond Park, which will probably be hosting again, but dunno how relevant that is.
For once I wouldn't mind a Sunday game - rooms are a lot cheaper!

Talking about saving money, is it correct, that we would prefer Munster to win Conference A, rather than Glasgow?
I presume Munster would then get to host the semi final against the winners of Ulster vs Connacht.

If that's the case, are we actively rooting against ourselves in Thomand next weekend. I'm very confused

I was thinking the same pre-game on Saturday. A Munster win would be better as if Glasgow top the conference, it's hard to see anyone stopping them with a home semi and final. On the other hand if Munster finish top, Ulster/Connacht winner would go to Thomond, hopefully the week after they play in the European final and then most likely face Leinster in Glasgow. So there's a kind of a path to victory there.
However it's out of Munster's hands anyway as Glasgow just have to beat Edinburgh at home, which they should manage even though Edinburgh are fighting for their season (they need a bonus point win just to guarantee the euro playoff spot).

I have committed and went ahead and booked a guesthouse close to Kingspan for Friday and Saturday night for me and the missus. Reasonable enough too so happy days. Cannot wait for this one, first time in Kingspan Stadium so really looking forward to it!

It's a great stadium, probably the finest in Ireland, with lively supporters. It's located in a nice area too. I've had 3 trips up there and enjoyed all of them. The home crowd are always welcoming too. Enjoy your visit.
