that was a pathetic performance, the amount of basic errors, it was embarrassing , worst was the way Glasgow physically imposed themselves on Connacht and we never stood up to them, Kieran was picked up like a rag doll after one of there try's and dossed aside and none of our players got stuck in, that is not like Connacht, the Glasgow supporters beside me said they never saw a softer team in their ground, Connacht players tonight need to have a serious look at that performance and is that the best we have to offer
such a waste of a journey

Poor performance, it just shows our lack of depth but we have not been playing well recently, very poor against Cardiff, bit lucky last week against cheetahs and shocking tonight, its fair to say the ospreys game is massive, we simply have to win it.....

Just for the future , the match was live in Sheridans . Went there not expecting to see it but was pleasantly surprised , until of course the match started. Our performance was not acceptable but thankfully Munster did the job . Hopefully Edinburgh will do the same .

Thought he managed to do more than Daly despite only being on the pitch for 20 minutes tbh. Godwin was mediocre too to be fair. Most of the team were really, thought Marmion was decent.

Hi Shane M, yes you are correct the clan is something special and the atmosphere amongst the Connacht supporters is special whether it be in Galway or on an away journey, I have been attending Connacht matches the last 30 years but we now in a professional era and the performance last night was poor, Glasgow were missing 21 of there panel either through injury or international duty, last night was difficult to take (I am just been honest Shane, no offence meant), that team can perform a lot better we all know they can , here is hoping they do it soon , next Saturday a huge game so lets get behind them once again

he was an upgrade compared to daly. If we have to sign a new contract with a back-up 12, now i'd keep going with Peter

That was a bit of a hammering. I'm not sure if we played terribly, just didn't convert the chances that we had. A try BP would've been a just reward from the game, shame that we didn't come away with anything.

WIll be a hard video to watch from a defensive point of view next week.

Good to have Boyle back, KM looked great too.

Definitely missing Jack to control the game. Think missing both Ultan and Quinn did us no favours in the lineout or scrum. Whatever chat they had at half time worked, they demolished us in the scrum in the second half.

Thought ref might've gone to his pocket for them in the first half given their constant penalties at scrumtime. Also unusual enough to see a try and a yellow card being given out. Can't say it wasn't a card, but most refs would've looked at the try being reward enough. Thought ref was v. solid overall.

All credit to Glasgow, mind. They had an offensive plan, they stuck to it and reaped the rewards.

That's put top 2 pretty much out of reach?

Trying to find positives in last nights game is futile. As was already pointed out, Glasgow were missing 21 players due to injury and six nations call-ups and they still managed to score 43 points and totally outclassed, out-muscled and outplayed Connacht. Connacht were missing 4 or possibly 5 players (Unsure if Tom Farrell was kept by Ireland or rested) to six nations call-ups and probably no more than a handful due to injury.

Today Benetton were missing 17 players to six nations call-ups and Probably more to injury and stilled scored 57 points against Dragons. But the manner in which they did it really told the story. They were totally dominant, inventive and tore Dragons to shreds. In truth the gap could and should have been a lot bigger. This is more or less the same Dragons team that Connacht stuttered to a bonus point win against at home. Dragons had 5 players missing due to six nations call-ups (Injury situation Unknown).

Despite the obvious improvement over last year, squad depth and quality is nowhere near where it should be for the Pro14, let alone Europe and if obvious deficiencies are not addressed, next year could see Connacht being a lot closer to the Dragons than competing for play off's and trophies.

I think in this season so far we have seen a great improvement with 25-30 members of the squad. It’s been a huge improvement on last year, only three really bad games all season isn’t bad. Still in a position to have a successful season, starting with a win next weekend.

The issue to deal with in the summer would be extending that improvement from 25-30 players to 40-45 players. Young lads like Fitzgerald, Gallagher, Burke and de buitlear could have a bigger impact next season alone with a few smart signings needed. For me there are three areas that need a top signing. Tight head, back 3 and back up 10.
