So we're back again. It's a bit trickier to do this, since the games against the other pool fluctuate between home and away each season
For example, we're away to Edinburgh this season, where as we were at home last season. Suppose I could compare those two games. It's not a like for like comparison, but it would give us an idea. What do people think?
Anyway, we start at home to Glasgow. We picked up a LBP last season in a 12-18 home loss in Round 1.
A positive Pre-season for Connacht has the team sounding confident. This game could be huge. Start the season with a win, and the confidence will continue to grow.
Need a minimum of 1 point from this game being honest

this thread got awful depressing towards the end of last season but its one of my favourite parts of the forum, love going through it on a Monday after a game, especially a win! however you decide you do it keep up the good work!

2018/2019: Connacht 26 - 27 Glasgow - Total: 1 Point (No change from last season)
Very disappointing to only come away with 1 point, which says a lot.
Up next, Zebre where collecting anything will be an improvement
Should be targeting all 5 points
2016/2017: Connacht 33 - 3 Zebre - Total: 5 Points (Can't remember)
2017/2018: Connacht 11 - 19 Zebre - Total: 0 Point (Loss of 5 Points)
2018/2019: Connacht - Zebre - Total: ??? Point (To be continued)

2018/2019: Connacht 32 - 13 Zebre - Total: 5 Points (Plus 5 Points)
Comfortable bonus point victory against Zebre at the weekend gives us a 5 point increase on last season.
After 2 rounds of the season, we're + 5
Next up is Edinburgh away. We didnt play away to Edinburgh last season. Our last match there actually took place in April 2017 in Muirfield where we won 19-22 (Total of 4 points)
Last season, we played Edinburgh at home, and lost 29-22 (Picking up 1 point)
2016/2017: Edinburgh 19 - 22 Connacht - Total 4 points
2017/2018: Connacht 22 - Edinburgh 19 - Total 1 Point
2018/2019: Edinburgh - Connacht
Lets hope the run of away victories in this match continue

Game 1: Connacht 26 - 27 Glasgow (1 point - No change from last season)
Game 2: Connacht 32 -13 Zebre (5 points - 5 point increase on last season)
Total difference from last season: + 5 points
Game 3: Edinburgh vs Connacht ( Last season Connacht collected 1 point at home to Edinburgh. Previous away game in Edinburgh, Connacht collected 4 points)
Hope that is easier to read

We picked up 1 point away in Edinburgh, which matches the 1 point that we collected at home to Edinburgh last season.
Going to be tough to match last seasons results over the next two weeks, where we play Scarlets at home (1 point away) and then Leinster at home (5 points)
Anyway, we're still +5 overall for this season so far

A fantastic, well deserved victory over the Scarlets at home this weekend. We had lost in Wales last season, and picked up 1 point, where as this season, we picked up 4 points at home.
We've 11 points after 4 games, which puts us +8 over the corresponding fixtures from last season.
Next up, is Leinster at home. We delivered an absolutely hiding to the goys from west London in the same game last year. It's going to be tricky to pick up the maximum again, but that should be our initial goal. We have a pretty decent record at home against them over the last few years.

Well that wasn't fun. Dropped 5 points on last season.
Onwards and upwards. Away to Ulster next weekend, where we got 0 points last season.
Should be expecting 1 at a minimum

The next 5 games be huge for us.
Last season we picked up only 6 points in those corresponding games. We should be targeting at least 12 this season, but probably closer to 15

A first win in 58 years in Belfast. Fantastic result. We just need a win in Dublin soon now as well.
Back up to +7 for this season
The next two games are in Europe, so this thread will be getting a little nap for a couple of weeks. Hopefully the run of form continues, and we dont pick up any injuries

1 point picked up in Wales against the Ospreys which doesn't tell the half of it.
Could of/Should of won, yet ended up gifting the Ospreys all 5 points. The only defence, is that nearly all of the mistakes were individual, and can hopefully be fixed.
Next up is the Dragons at home. We lost in the only fixture against the Dragons last season, which was away from home, without picking up anything. Really need to target 5 points at home this weekend
We are +8 when compared to the same fixtures last season

No games for 2 weeks now, and the lads get a nice break.
Good to wrap up this series with a bonus point win.
After 8 games, we are 13 points better off than last season.
There are a few reverse fixtures in the bag. Had Dragons and Scarlets both at home this season, where we picked up +8 when compared to the away fixtures last season.
We had Edinburgh away this season, and matched last seasons point tally (of 1)
Of the 8 games that we've played last season, we lost points in 1 game - Leinster at home (-5)
Matched last season in 2 - Glasgow (H) & Edinburgh (A)
Improved on 5 games from last season - Zebre (H); Scarlets (H); Ulster (A); Ospreys (A); Dragons (H)
