speaking exclusively to Pundit Arena this afternoon at Supermacs on the Tuam Road
Well I've f***n heard it all now.
I preferred sligsup's sauna story.
Pinky my friend ( because we are all friends on here) that story was gospel!
There was no snack box though

I don’t think he’s had much experience, busy with Leinster and Ireland but always you get Leinster players comment on how he turned Leinster into More serious and focused team and set them up to win things.
No idea if he’s wanting to be a coach, doesn’t he have quiet a bit of business or investments?!
Not my choice to be head coach but could come in under Nigel or jimmy
Doubt Heaslip will be getting in to coaching. He is a very shrewd business man with his fingers in a lot of pies, full time job looking after his investments and looking for new ones I'd imagine.

I also notice Bundee liked the Mul interview on twitter... Seems like there may not have been such a fracture between KK and the players as we thought. I wonder was it more to do with friction in the coaching team/branch staff

Think reading between the lines, Mul very diplomatically hinted his public criticism of players was a problem.
But " didn't worry him", he also had no idea why he was sacked . . I don't believe that!

Mul is already showing very adept political skills. I would expect nothing less from him. A wily political operator, he will be a great asset to Pat Lam and Bristol and eventually a Head Coach here.
What is far from acceptable though is the total silence on the KK affair from Willie Ruane. What's the problem Willie? Do you not think it's part of your remit to inform fans of what's going on? It's unfair to KK, the players, and the fan base and makes you look more than a little bit underwhelming.

In general I felt KK should have been given another crack next season, but maybe it is better to cut ties that waste a season in order to give a guy another chance. I will say in general there were times this season that you'd nearly forget we had a head coach because of a general lack of presence from KK, it almost had the feeling that he was just a caretaker coach who was filling in until the next guy came, I understand not everybody is going to have the same presence as Eric or Pat but when results go against you and you don't even have the token of being a crowd or player favourite then it's very easy to be shoved out the door. All the same best of luck to the guy but at 64 he's probably not going to be moving on to bigger and better things. He'll always be the first coach to give us wins over all 3 provinces in the one season.
I think they'll take a leaf out of the political brinkmanship book (where they announce bad news they day people are going or have gone on a Bank Holiday weekend to minimise reaction) , expect an announcement out to the media today about 1 minute before the Branch Office closes for the Holiday Weekend...

So in a week after the buzz of beating leinster and Muls send off where I was expecting a signing or two in order to keep the good feel factor going and boost season ticket sales we have zero word from the branch since monday. Willie and go are not exactly strategical genius.

I dont think I could cheer on a team with Jamie Heaslip as head coach. I'd be sick to my stomach

Always thought Heaslip would make a great ref God knows he spent enough time in their ear any time Connacht played Leinster.

Not sure. Awards night on Sunday so it's not exactly a weekend they can go to ground. There'll be plenty of the Fourth Estate donning the black tie for that one either way ...
In fact, maybe the whole thing is just a ruse to sell tickets for the ball, where they will announce the grand unveiling of their new coach ... Kieran Keane ...

No more than Frank Murphy, Heaslip has reffed hundreds of games without ever picking up a whistle.

Not sure he would be my choice.
Jackman ruled himself out earlier too on Off the Ball.
If EOS rules himself out too I'll be delighted.
