But what kind of message is that sending out to our Kids ?

Personally, as somebody who was always taught to stand up for what's right regardless of personal cost, this just doesn't sit right with me.
The idea that cancelling the contract of a man who was "already on notice after being blacklisted by police" and then dragged his girlfriend to the ground, leaving her bloody and bruised sends out the wrong message to children is ridiculous.

Personally I agree with his contract being revoked but the issue is complex. There are people who think he should have been given another chance and that's fair enough, it's not black and white, but to come on here claiming the high moral ground on this "as someone who was always taught to stand up for what's right regardless of personal cost" is a bit silly really in the context of his actions.

Anyway, I agree with the others, it is old news now.
My words were in reference to the different ways the two situations were handled by the IRFU and not the actions of Sevu Reece. If they were adhering with a moral policy, then Coulson's contract should have been cancelled just like the rest regardless of the financial cost. I've never ever condoned Reece's actions in any way. Feel free to disagree with me all you like but please don't put words in my mouth. No moral high ground, just me expressing my opinion like everyone else. Now can we possibly move on and talk about Rugby for a change.

"Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill." Muhammad Ali

Great news. When injury-free he'll be an automatic starter for us.

Dillane/Roux, International pairing, would disagree

Time for Cian to give a call to the young brother!
(sadly Cronin is ageing too, so Leinster might sign him...)

Quote from Linley McKenzie today's times
" And with Craig Ronaldson ruled out for the season, Friend is looking for another outhalf. "
In the context of the article I don't know whether she is implying he's looking to sign one or looking for Fitzgerald or Horwitz to make the step up,

If it's for an outhalf to step up the 2 lads will get loads of games to show there stuff. If it is for a new outhalf then it brings up a few questions. 1 is it just as a precaution because we are down to 3 10s or 2. Are they seen as not good enough and the branch are trying to source a new recruit at 10 for asap and going forward into next season.
I'm sure the craggy crew might have a better insight into it on the podcast.

Scholes seems out for a while too, Reece won't come,
So a 10/15 profile à la Carbery (like Peter Lydon) would be nice. Kelleher would focus on the wing

Lydon hasn't played 10 since his Seapoint days. Almost exclusively 15 at Std Francais, London Scottish and Ealing. Excellent place kicker, but not a viable 10 option anymore really....

Then you have Brett Connon (IQ), lacking gametime with Newcastle, but was on the bench vs both Toulon and Montpellier. If they agree a loan deal when Flood is back from his shoulder injury...

Our first and two of our second to fourth choice outhalfs are available (not sure what the pecking order under Jack is), we'll be getting no replacement OH. We've not really seen Horiwitz or Fitgerald and the only way to find out if they're going to sink or swim is to play them.

Need for a LH is much greater.
