Thinking the same thing; can run, pass, kick, tackle and seems to have the smarts.

I see Ryan Crotty is out of contract at the end of the season. Now that would be a signing !

I think he is exactly what we need. Very experienced and fills the Bundee gap when he would be away.

Muliaina was 34 when he made his Connacht debut. Crotty is 29 in September and therefore in the prime of his career. Not that it matters as there's no way we could outbid the sugardaddies, but I fail to see how a clapped out Muliaina would compare to a current All Black.

There's really no comparing Muliaina in his mid 30s after a string of injuries and having been playing in Japan to Ryan Crotty at 29 while still a regular in the All Black squad.
I'd imagine it's irrelevant anyway as I can't see any way in hell of us signing someone of his profile.

My pessimistic viewpoint. Darragh I always struggled with. Other than matt (he has had an awful season that I put down to his damaged hand as he seems incapable of catching anything) and niyi (he seems incapable of going forward these days) and cian ( he seems incapable of staying injury free), we have few winger options. And then without bundee we don't have a worthwhile centre partnership. And then we don't have a professional out half. I am struggling to be positive

2 of the 3 accused Grenoble players have signed contracts. Maybe a good sign for the last one, Coulson?
Jerry Sexton released, rumoured to Jersey, would be a mistake not to try him.
We still need 1 if not 2 locks IMO, we have 5 only...
maybe Keane will bring Lepa or someone like that, a sweet dream..

It doesn't amount to anything, and it's not a surprise, but Boshoff's twitter bio now makes no reference to Connacht (I'm pretty sure it did before though that could be wrong) and yesterday he had a tweet that included #StartFresh (on phone so can't link)

Releasing SOL looks like an absolute disaster now if boshoff leaves IMO. In other news rob Simmons and Kane Douglas are being released by the Reds this summer.

As previously stated Phatguerilla, I assume that the board and managers have being aware of this for a while and would have factored this in also when releasing Shane who I thought should have being given more opportunity on the field. So I would hope that they are in advanced stages of announcing a new 10.

Ssshhh ... he's asleep ...
That's enough for me to hope it never happens
Don't know if I could deal with the Indo headlines (West's Awake, Go West, etc. and so on).
The West's awake now anyway
(I'd take him ... )

I'd be willing to put up with any amount of crap newspaper headlines just to have him sign for us. He's a top quality 10.

It'll be interesting to see which of the young lads will nail down second choice SH.
